In 2020-21, Prevention Solutions@EDC provided training and technical assistance to prevention practitioners across the country, on topics ranging from coalition leadership and sustainability planning to the social determinants of health and intersection of prevention and recovery.

EDC is one of over 100 organizations across the U.S. that has joined the National Academy of Medicine in declaring its commitment to reversing national trends in opioid misuse and overdose. Network organizations agree to make a visible commitment to reversing the U.S. opioid epidemic.

When the Impact Norwood Prevention Coalition began considering what it wanted to accomplish for the remainder of its 5-year Drug-Free Communities grant, they brought in PS@EDC TA Specialist Jess Goldberg to assist in creating a strategic planning process that was participatory and collaborative.

Many states are requiring the counties they fund to incorporate logic models into their local substance use prevention plans. In January, PS@EDC spent two days training 80 substance misuse prevention practitioners from across Kentucky on how to do so.
