Ellyson Stout

US Director of Community Suicide Prevention, EDC

Ellyson Stout, a public health expert and thought leader, serves as a subject matter expert and advisor for EDC Solutions. Elly specializes in suicide prevention, cross-sector collaboration, and translating best practices to local contexts. In her role leading large EDC suicide prevention projects, she draws on her expertise in strategic communications and systems change to support federal, state, and local partners in their efforts to reduce suicide deaths and attempts across the United States.

Stout has over 20 years of experience served as a leader, advisor and subject matter expert in support of national and global public health initiatives. Before joining EDC, she worked domestically and internationally in HIV/AIDS prevention and maternal and child health, as well as with immigrant and refugee health programs.

Stout holds an MS in Health Communication from Tufts University School of Medicine and is an Albert Schweitzer Fellow.
