Adam Chu
Mr. Chu is a Project Director at the Education Development Center (EDC). He serves as Director of Health and Behavioral Health Initiatives with the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) project, works with the Zero Suicide Institute® at EDC to support Zero Suicide implementation at the Manchester, NH VA Medical Center, and provides subject matter expertise for the SAMHSA/VA Governor’s and Mayor’s Challenges to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. In these roles he has led efforts that build capacity to deliver effective suicide prevention services across states, communities, and civilian health systems and military treatment facilities—including emergency departments, primary care, and inpatient and outpatient settings. He is skilled at developing and delivering consultation and programmatic support in a variety of virtual and in-person modalities such as communities of practice, webinars, self-paced training resources, and tailored site visits. Mr. Chu has also provided technical assistance to SAMHSA Zero Suicide, Garrett Lee Smith Youth Suicide Prevention, and National Strategy for Suicide Prevention Grantees. Mr. Chu obtained his BS from Tufts University and his MPH from the Boston University School of Public Health.
