About the Conference

The NASMHPD Annual Meeting brings together state mental health commissioners, executive teams, behavioral health leaders, and national partners to discuss emerging priorities and promising approaches in public mental health systems.

The 2026 meeting, themed “Together Towards Tomorrow: Innovating Mental Health Solutions,” will take place at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf. General sessions will also be accessible to virtual attendees.

This plenary session will feature updates from leading national suicide prevention organizations, including EDC's National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC), and Zero Suicide Institute.

Julie Goldstein Grumet will represent Zero Suicide Institute, sharing insights into national efforts to strengthen suicide prevention and expand access to effective suicide care.
