Zero Suicide Workshop | Idaho’s Suicide Prevention Program

The Zero Suicide Institute, in partnership with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, cordially invites Health & Behavioral Health Systems, Tribal Health Systems, Crisis Services, First Responders, Youth and Adult Community Centers, and Shelter & Respite Services to apply by 5/13 for an in-person workshop on Understanding the Zero Suicide Framework.

About the Workshop

Description

Zero Suicide Workshops are closely tailored to your needs. While a Zero Suicide Academy is very structured and designed for implementation teams, workshops are more flexible and can be developed for a variety of audiences with varying knowledge levels or preparation. Using the Zero Suicide framework, participants can also learn how to incorporate best and promising practices into their organizations and processes to improve care and safety for individuals at risk.

A few of the many things you will learn from this event...

  • The goals of the framework of Zero Suicide and what they mean to the health and wellness of people we serve
  • How to identify your own roles in supporting people who may be at risk for self-harm
  • How to develop memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with other community providers to create seamless safety nets for those at risk of suicide
  • How to choose tools that will help you in identifying risk, for clinical and non-clinical care providers and professionals

Those not providing direct care are still part of the network that can work together to keep people, families, and communities safe and well. 

Registration Instructions

All participants within the network wishing to attend Idaho’s Suicide Prevention Program Zero Suicide Workshop will submit their registration by the due date. Registrations are due by 5/13/2022.
