AMSR in Practice

AMSR in Practice training builds on foundational knowledge of Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR).

The live, facilitated training focuses on strengthening clinical judgement, risk formulation, and intervention skills through practice-based learning using clinical vignettes and simulation. Participants will practice applying the AMSR model to complex scenarios and developing strategies for integrating AMSR into real-world clinical practice.

About the Training

Participants who complete AMSR in Practice will be able to practice and apply learnings from previous AMSR training in a supportive environment. Participants will engage in instructor-led group discussion, clinical vignettes, simulation, and guided practice in a supportive learning environment. The workshop is designed to help participants apply AMSR skills to complex scenarios and identify strategies for integrating the model into clinical practice.

Who Can Benefit

AMSR in Practice is an intermediate workshop designed for licensed mental and behavioral health clinicians who assess and manage suicide risk. Participants should have completed foundational AMSR training. The AMSR course is recommended, but participation in any live or on-demand AMSR training satisfies this prerequisite.
