Webinar | Missouri Zero Suicide Webinar: Putting the “Care” in Safer Suicide Care
September 29, 2025
1:00PM to 2:30PM CT

Missouri Department of Mental Health in partnership with the Missouri Behavioral Health Council cordially invites Missouri professionals to an online webinar.

About the Webinar

Suicide is a complex public health problem. Caring for individuals with suicide risk should not be. The Zero Suicide framework provides a systems-level approach toward safer suicide care. Four of the elements – Identify, Engage, Treat and Transition – guide systems in creating a suicide care pathway. This webinar provides a high-level overview of these four elements with a focus on providing collaborative person-centered care, leveraging community partnerships to enhance safety during care transitions, and engaging lived experience and peer support in the design and delivery of programs.

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the four elements essential to a suicide care pathway.
  • Discuss the role of community partners and peer support in safer suicide care.
  • Identify three strategies to support safety and engage during care transitions.

Who Should Attend

Organizational leaders, supervisors, training staff, and direct-care professionals, including clinical and non-clinical staff, and peer support working in the state of Missouri.
