The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's mission is to advance Colorado's health and protect the places where residents live, learn, work, and play.

The Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP) is the designated lead entity for suicide prevention efforts in Colorado. As part of these efforts, the Office and its key partners align with national strategies to pursue statewide safer suicide care primarily through the Zero Suicide framework.

Since 2017, the Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP) has used SAMHSA grant funding to support Zero Suicide implementation in over 10 Colorado health systems. OSP has sponsored numerous EDC Zero Suicide  Academies, Workshops, and AMSR trainings to benefit health systems and their staff.
