- Strategic Planning
EDC provides consultation to the state staff responsible for the implementation of problem gambling prevention and treatment as well as state councils interested in creating multi-year plans. We help you:
- Conduct needs assessments by analyzing state data on problem gambling behaviors, risk and protective factors, impacts, and relevant programs and policies.
- Design and facilitate strategic planning to develop or update state or sub-state plans, integrating problem gambling prevention into broader prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery efforts.
- Understand the linkages between problem gambling and substance misuse, suicide, and violence.
- Workforce Development
Our training workshops educate and empower the problem gambling prevention workforce in supportive and interactive learning environments. Examples of trainings include:
Chuck Klevgaard, a nationally recognized expert in substance misuse prevention, is a highly experienced training and technical assistance (TTA) designer and leader. Klevgaard brings extensive experience in public health and behavioral health (BH) and evidence-based alcohol, and substance misuse programs and policies.
