This session will address the risks of digital media use on students’ mental health while harnessing its benefits. This session shows how using a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) approach provides a suitable, evidence-based framework for districts to guide students’ healthy digital media use and ensure that all students’ mental health needs are met.
The Sense of Belonging; The Role of the School Committee and Superintendents

This interactive workshop presents evidence-based strategies for creating a sense of belonging in our schools and the role school committee members and superintendents can and should play in making sure all students feel welcome.
Dr. Shai Fuxman, a behavioral health expert and senior research scientist, leads initiatives promoting the positive development of youth and serves as a technical assistance specialist and advisor for EDC Solutions.
Tori Todd, Training and Technical Assistant Associate, supports educators to design student-centered, equitable learning experiences.
