About the Conference

Hosted jointly by the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS), this annual conference brings together educational professionals and elected officials. MASC MASS is dedicated to enhancing school governance and improving student outcomes. This conference is an opportunity to connect with other school committee members and superintendents, gain insights from expert speakers, and participate in engaging workshops addressing the most pressing education issues today.

This session will address the risks of digital media use on students’ mental health while harnessing its benefits. This session shows how using a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) approach provides a suitable, evidence-based framework for districts to guide students’ healthy digital media use and ensure that all students’ mental health needs are met.

The Sense of Belonging; The Role of the School Committee and Superintendents
