Jim Vetter Headshot

Jim Vetter has over 25 years of experience supporting communities across the United States and around the world in promoting students’ well-being. With deep knowledge of interactive online and in-person training and coaching strategies, he provides leadership and guidance to a range of EDC initiatives.

Vetter has served as a bullying prevention subject matter expert for the Children’s Safety Network at EDC, supporting state health departments nationally. In co-leading technical assistance for EDC’s Massachusetts Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Academy, he helps schools and districts promote students’ well-being, mental health, and school success. As a member of EDC’s Rapid Assessment and Action Planning team, he has coached numerous communities across the country around effective implementation of mental health supports.

Before joining EDC, Vetter directed suicide prevention and youth violence prevention programs at the Virginia Department of Health.

Vetter holds an EdM from Harvard University.
