Zero Suicide Workshop Online | Understanding the Zero Suicide Framework in New Mexico’s Community and Tribal Health Systems
September 7th, 2022
9:00am-4:00pm MT

The New Mexico Behavioral Health Collaborative, in partnership with the Zero Suicide Institute, proudly invites you to Understanding the Zero Suicide Framework in New Mexico’s Community and Tribal Health Systems.

The full-day Workshop will be held virtually on the 7th of September from 9am to 4pm MDT.

Understanding the Zero Suicide Framework in New Mexico’s Community and Tribal Health Systems will provide you an overview of the Zero Suicide framework that has been utilized globally to create safer suicide care for people, families, and communities, including those in Indian Country, impacted by suicidal intensity.  The Workshop will provide you with explanations of the seven elements that make up the framework known as Zero Suicide and how these elements can be implemented both in general health systems and those that are IHS-led and Tribally owned in New Mexico.

Through a combination of stories from faculty who have implemented Zero Suicide in their own systems, and videos from expert suicidologists who have been promoting Zero Suicide as a framework since the beginning, you will leave with a sense of how this may be able to work in your own system and the steps you will need to take to prepare for implementation.
