Mindy Schultz

Director of Social Care Services, Dayton Children’s Hospital

For the past seven years, Mindy Schultz has worked at Dayton Children’s Hospital in development of behavioral health programs and services, including Behavioral Crisis Center, Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, and Day Treatment Programs (Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient).

 
As Director of Social Care Services, Schultz has implemented a new model of Integrated Care within Dayton Children’s Hospital, aligning social work services with nursing care management, along with other supportive services, to ensure patients and families receive seamless and proactive care coordination across the system of care. She is also Lead for the Zero Suicide initiative, a national initiative with a quality improvement focus to support reduction of suicides within our community. Additionally, she created opportunities for supporting Staff Development and expanded Workforce for the social work and counseling disciplines. 


Schultz received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Miami University in Oxford, OH and a master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Her primary focus in social work degree has been in mental and behavioral health care. Schultz holds an independent license with supervisory designation to advocate for wholistic wellness of both physical and mental health for all.
