10:00am to 6:00pm EST all days

Register by January 26th to be trained online to teach Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk for Outpatient Professionals.

Join us on February 13th, 15th, and 17th for an interactive, small-group online AMSR Training the Trainer course adapted to support the unique experiences of Outpatient professionals.  Become one of more than 300 trainers nationwide in helping behavioral health professionals feel confident navigating challenging situations and delivering the latest research-informed care to individuals at risk for suicide.

About the Workshop

To become an authorized AMSR Trainer, qualified participants first attend a Training of Trainers (ToT), where experienced AMSR Master Trainers demonstrate expert facilitation and provide new trainers with the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on key aspects of AMSR curricula. AMSR Trainers leave the ToT ready to deliver their first training.

AMSR trainers enhance their clinical knowledge, earn continuing education credits, and get access to a private website that provides teaching and learning resources.

Eligibility

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply to attend a ToT with us:

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Five or more years as a practicing clinician
  • Currently in practice, with state-level standing
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills

Training Description

AMSR Training of Trainer (ToT) workshops provide two and half days of training. The first day is an observation of an AMSR Master Trainer leading an AMSR training. Days two and three focus on you learning, developing, and practicing as an AMSR trainer.

When you join an ASMR ToT, you gain skills in the recognition, assessment, and management of suicide risk. You'll learn about the delivery of effective suicide-specific interventions and how to develop collaborative treatment and safety plans with those at risk for suicide. AMSR Master Trainers demonstrate expert facilitation and provide you with the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on key aspects of AMSR curricula.
